Creator God
who moved around the earth
distributing Monarch butterflies
daffodils and hippopotamuses
—
help us to remember
the charge you gave to us
not to dominate
but to care for creation
—
that it may remain “good”
in your sight
and in ours
—
in the name of the one
who took notice of sparrows
